Shoe-Crazy
I don't remember hearing it from someone who says that gals are CRAZY about shoes.
I used to beg to differ. And now... I have to agree with this statement.
Because i got 3 pairs of shoes, within this month itself! The first pair is because of my pedicure. And at that point in time, i was wearing sports shoes lah. So not very convenient. So buy a 'Birkenstok'... that is not the authentic one. But looks stylish enough. No pictures of it though. Sunday, i realized that i need a new pair of shoes to wear to work. So i bought one at Far East Plaza.

Here it is. $23.70 (After discount) from Summit. Yup it's a Malaysian Brand. Quite comfy i'll say, but still u have to bite it.
And, Yesterday, was shopping at the West Coast Market with Mummy, and we came to this very lock-kok looking shoe shop. Actually i never really regarded the shoes there. But since Mummy was browsing, so i browse too. And i came across this very nice pair of shoes. And... Mummy saw a nice pair of shoes. BUT she didn't buy, because the ribbon wasn't very correctly aligned. Hehe... anyway, she sponsored me the shoes. See..... never look down on neighborhood lock-kok looking shops. I've changed my opinions of them. =)

New Hair

This was me before the hair cut yesterday.
This is me after the hair cut. And i thought that it made my face look squarish. I tell people i got myself a 傻瓜头. Other people's comments were like..
Eichien : Wha make ur face look bigger..
The rest of the cg: It's a refreshing look.
I guess, it received more positive feedback rather than negative ones. And it's only part 1. Await my color change.
Family outing-cum-Folk dance night
Yesterday, the 8th July is the first time that West Coast Green GRC is organizing a Folk Dance Night; in chinese it's called . And my mum, being the Folk dance instructor for the zone, naturally she's the organizer of the whole event. So it happened that before that, we were going to the venue to dunno do what. Because mummy just took one big onion and one red chilli, and she was linking them together with a chopstick and sticked it into the mud. I'm supposed to have the picture, but somehow, it disappeared - No, i didn't delete or anything like that . Freaky!!
Mummy says that it is supposed to bring good weather esp since it's an outdoor event. But well.... the weather was ok lor. Didn't really rain, just that it's really a warm day; u literally stand there doing nothing, and u can sweat like a tap.
One notable thing is : Everyone in the family is present.
Mummy : The 主角 which has to dress nice-nice, have nice hair, good dance steps, and got style.
Papa: The carrier of the 云头雪, or the ice-jelly. He carried the whole pot-ful of it from our fridge to the venue at Blk 706. Everyone got to enjoy the cooling dessert in the heat of the day.
Me : I’m the 打杂. Doing more of the Physical Arrangement of carrying the chairs, blowing the balloons, distributing the drinks and the towel.
Bro and Sheena: Sheena’s doing the DJ-ing for the day. And Bro was helping out with the physical arrangements too.
It’s one rare event that all of us as a family are doing something together. It’s been a long while since I last remembered us doing it. That’s why I call it a family outing.
Pictures describes a thousand words, more than the bombastic words i can use to describe the whole event.
This first one is the banner that was hoisted between the 2 pillars at the Recreation Mall besides Blk 701.
This is the first dance, which the participants are dancing in a circle. Very 山地-type of music.
This is one hot number, where everyone canced with zest, and lotsa sweat.
This dance is the 大长今 dance. U know, the opening song for the Famous Korean Drama ' Jewel in the Palace', which starts with "wu lala wu lala..." I have video-ed the dance partially with my O2. See if i can load on my laptop....
As the whole Folkdance Nite steps into the night.... My camera-phone gave a very fluorescent feel of this picture. Anyway, this picture showed a very demure, and graceful dance.
think Mummy must be very touched by the whole event. Because at least 150 people turned up for this event. In the heat of the day-till night. Her sweat glands hasn’t been running down her face, instead into her eyes. =) I guess she’s really very 感动 at such a huge turn-out.
It's really an eventful day. I think Mummy will want to organize more of such Folk Dance Nites, because i see the look of contentment and rejoicing in her face. When Mummy's happy, it's great.
