Here's my few dollars worth with regards to this dinner.
Initially i really wanna take pictures. Alas...... yesterday i was too tired, and ended up i was running on a super low battery. So there goes my food entry. =(
But anyway, food aside, the bantering was really funny.
Ade's got her vocals at work.... she sang 'Heros'.
And... Boss did something funny.
HE ACTUALLY STOOD ON THE CHAIR AND DANCE!
Though only for 5 seconds.
But it was all in the name of fun la. =)
Food wise
There was
a) Garden Salad. Do i take salad? NO!!!!
b) Lobster Soup. Well... passable. Not as good as i thought. And, must have more in one portion la. Heard the Tomato soup is superb (Dank!)
c) Butterfish steak. It was a 2 piece of butterfish which half the crowd thought it's really pathetic. But i've check with them; it's due to the season in which the fish come. So it's unfortunate that in this season it's in this size. Thought that it should have a bit more taste.
d) Lychee Sorbet. The overall favorite of the day. Everyone loves it.
TRY TRY TRY TRY TRY!!!!
e) Chocolate Mousse. It's made of Dark Chocolate, but thought that the portion is a bit too big. Eating too much of it, gets a bit not-so-nice because it's kinda rich.
Exciting thing about this whole thing? I guess it's the driving part.
I hasn't drove once every since last October. And, today was an opportunity, because my colleague was drunk and she has a car, which she either need to drive it home, or leave it at the carpark. So, since she stayed at Queenstown, and i kinda stayed near at Clementi, so i took the wheel.
The whole thing is: i've never driven at night (i didn't tell her that la), and this is the first time i've driven in a year.
So i drove her car. It's a mercedes. YES. U DIDN'T READ WRONGLY. I DROVE A MERCEDES
It's like... one in a million chances that u ever get to drive a MERCEDES. At the very least, to me la.
So, i took the wheel. And i drove slowly. And when i attempt to speed up, nearly kena langga, because the reaction of the brake to the wheel was kinda slow. *learnt my lesson. Get to know the car's pattern before i really speed. -_-"*
Anyway, everything after that was smooth. i got confident once i got familiarized. =)
It's quite a good drive i must say. I didn't kena any kerb or anything like that, at all. I think being trained on a sedan is good. I mean, i think i still can't adapt to a hatchback anyday. Thankful for my training at BBDC, and my 14 points. I didn't lang-ga her car.
Thanks, Shirley, for trusting me with your car, though it has been a nearly-langga situation with that truck (or was it 2 trucks?). =)
I STILL LOVE DRIVING, OK. I'M QUITE GIAN, ACTUALLY!!!
Hahahaha......

clap clap clap...
good for you!
yeah.. sometimes people make driving seem such a breeze..
i think you and I have a common ground.. we don't get the chance to take the wheel that often. So each chance is an opportunity.. as well as a big deal..
soon.. when we've driven more often.. we'd be like a fish in water..
but meanwhile.. we have to work on it..
jia you JEN.. jia you!!!
btw.. very brave of you to drive in the night.
