Informing my parents

Days to SOT: 28 DAYS!!! (Mama Mia!!!! Getting closer and closer!!)

After praying and mulling over it for the past week, and thinking how i am going to inform my parents, i've decided to write them a letter to inform them. (Thanks to ML for the suggestion) Instead of getting ready to shut down the laptop and go and bathe and sleep, here i was, on my Microsoft Word, typing my letter to them, in, get this, CHINESE!!!

ARGH!!!!!!! It's not easy, i'm telling you. It's been like how-many-centuries-ago that i last wrote a 私函 or something! How do i remember how to draft it?

Ah! During my secondary school days, i write it like i'm talking. So, after so many years, i'm writing one chinese letter compared to 20,000 English memos, i'm more-or-less ang mo pai one. Telling me to write in English, i can. But writing it in my Mother Tongue, wha lau eh, really challenging. But anyway, i've finished it. And i decided to post what i'm gonna show to my parents right below:

To : 爸 and 妈

其实，我有东西要跟你们讲。可是，我说不出口。所以才写这封信来传达我心里的话。

我今年从4月至8月，我将会去教会的神学院上课。

我要声鸣的是：我不是要当牧师！（如果这样的话， 每年都有很多很多牧师了。。 哈哈）我要去神学院是因为我想要学习跟多关于神，更认识我自己，和处世待人。而且，上了神学院也可以帮助我以后的工作，让我更有信心面对未来。

虽然我6至8年前，有和你们讲过我想读。当时我还年轻，不懂事，没有经济基础， 又还没读完书。可是，我对想报读神学院的执着从来没有改变过。我今年已经2X岁了。我知道我在做舍么。
我知道你们会担心，怕我没有钱，还是没有工作。其实，我早已安排好我的工作了 (人士部积极的鼓励防止裁员，让公司减薪，或员工做比较少的工作时间)。当学期开始时，上课时间是上午8.30 至下午1.30pm. 之后，我就去上班。所以，钱的方面决对没有问题。我也在教补习。一切的一切将不会改变。除了比较早出门，其余的，都不会改变。我还是我父母的孩子。=)

所以。。。就是这样咯。

I think, it's not too bad for a rusty Chinese 私函writer huh. And, yeah, my Chinese name's that. Very uncommon, and .... painful to write the characters. But yea, that's my name, and i'm proud of it. And, it's really painful to draft out a letter in Chinese!!

So, if u are reading this, I need prayer. Tomorrow's the day that i'm gonna give it to them.

Though right now i feel like i don't wanna give them...... but, i want to. I want to make my point to them. It's not easy for me, i tell u. I felt insecure about telling my parents about it, right when i started counting-down to SOT. But, i just want them to know that this is what i'm doing.
