You and I can make a difference!

U know i rarely do ads.... They usually appear once-in-a-very-blue-moon, especially on things that i use and like (the usual recommendations)

But this posting is specially dedicated for a great cause, to help a 4 year old girl in her fight against Cancer.

Charmaine had to fight against Neuroblastoma, which is a form of childhood cancer, and treatment done locally may not be favorable for her survival.

Together with Nuffnang, jennacherylen.blogspot.com here beseeches everyone that is reading this particular post: If u can, help Charmaine's family with raising funds, that she can have a chance of receiving treatment, and at best, full recovery, in New York.

Not everyone can have a higher chance at recovery from a terminal disease such as cancer. But Charmaine has. And with a small effort from all of those reading not just my blog, but others who are supporting this cause, we can make a difference. We can help her, to give her a new lease of life, a chance of having a great life ahead. And i'm sure she has a great future ahead of her.

Sick again =(

It's pretty sad that i see a trend recently that i'm falling sick every other month!!

And yet again i'm sick.... And this time, it's really the worst of it, especially when i'm chionging at the last leg of SOT... And i'm stuck at home till End Friday.

Ahhh i think this is the valley experience for me. I must keep on going, so that i won't become like those dry bones in the valley.

Sometimes, when you sing a worship song in Chinese, it really means so much more to you when u sing it in English.

It happened to me a lot. Esp when i'm in SOT and we will sing songs in Bilingual - English and Chinese.

But this is one song that impacted me very much, which is not available in English version. It's translated from Indonesian.

Sometimes, when we want to like obtain something, we will firstly look at what we have. You can say... "I can do this on my own. I have an MBA... i have brains.... i have so-and-so knowledge qualifications... this and that certification"...... But, as you do it on your own, you become restless, you become frustrated. It seem so hard to do it.

But as we begin to stop depending on ourselves, and lean on the Holy Spirit... We know the will of God for our lives. The going is getting hard. But over here, all the qualifications and certifications, all the what we know in our brains, are all considered as rubbish. Right aside us, is the Holy Spirit, always ready to hold our hands to run this race.

I guess, this is not just a self-confession. I'm sure many of you reading this, will probably be able to relate to what i'm really saying. At so many times, i feel frustrated, as to why things don't happen.... And i feel mentally drained after trying it on my own. And taking time to come to myself... takes time. And u know that, when u should just stop looking at your abilities and capabilities and commit everything into the hands of God, the Holy Spirit will guide us along. And the realization is that, as we trust in the Lord, what seemed so difficult in our pride-on-our-abilities.... everything seem so easy.

So, insteading of ding-donging your own way, just Let Go and Let God!

A place to chill: Bakerzin

Here i am, walking aimlessly in GREAT need of an internet connection, because i'm (i mean i was) waiting for an answer to some questions that i've asked yesterday... Today.

... Parable time. Let him who has ears, let him hear.... *Sigh.

Anyway, i just went to visit a group of people whom i was kinda familiar. The things that they do, are in the 'servicing' of 2 kinds of people. I was kinda expecting them to call me, since they know about me.

And they did, and so i went.... all the way from JW to Raffles. Even though i know that this visit won't exactly reap any results, Or does any good time come out of it? Since, what they are really good at, is literally giving a false hope, and leave you hanging there..... Until they need u for an opportune time.

Well, out of a goodwill, i just went... And on the way back, something happened, and which is totally anal, and that was why i need this internet connection so badly.

And... i thought to myself. I want coffee!! I'm literally falling asleep soon, and i have tuition at 7.30pm. Woowoo.....

Starbucks? Wha....... my $5 voucher is still waiting to be utilized, sitting in my wallet for the looongest time.

Bakerzin?? Yummy-but-expensive food.... i want the nice looking Latte with the heart-shape... But got connection??

FYI, there is!! Woots!

And here i was, blatantly coming in to the cafe, to use the FREE WIFI, with meeting my basic need for my coffee.



To give it credit, the Latte tastes really not bad lah.... I didn't buy the latte because it has a heart-shaped pattern.

But i also realized that it's really a great place to hang out.... Solitude.

So i'm pretty sure that i'll come and hang out on my free days till SOT finishes. (Boohoo!! So fast!! I want more!! More!! MORE!!!). So technically that means... 4 Tuesdays, and 4 more Thursdays.

Great coffee, great connection. It's a good place to hang out. =)

Ice Age 3: The Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Last Saturday after service, we just decided on the spot while walking past GV, that we should watch a movie! Woots!

For one, i actually quite like to watch movies. And since last year, i wanna make it a point to watch one movie a month (even though i didn't watch 12 last year). This year is a year of consecration for me, and.... argh. I can't even remind for the mind of me, the last movie i watched... i think it's love matters. Oh well.

We decided at 2145 that we wanted to watch Ice Age 3, and we stepped into the theatre at 2215h to watch it.

As JP's GV didn't have it offered up on 3D-Animation, we watched it normal.

But i must say, i hasn't enjoyed a movie for such a long while! Notwithstanding that i'm the type that will watch Parts 1 and 2 before the 3rd. But despite that, i really find that this is a real good movie to watch.

SKY commented that it's really quite worth the $9 to watch this, cos of the entertainment value. And i agree! It's a real good movie, with various common grace themed within.

I'll rate it a 4 out of 5 for this.

Go watch it if u haven't. It's a real great treat for the whole family.

Luvelle Ching says HELLO WORLD!

8th July from this year onwards will be a real significant day for all of us, of the Ching Family.

Cos my parents' very first grandchild is born on this day.

I present..... Princess Luvelle!!!!





Our little princess Luvelle weighs a grand total of 2.7kg at birth! =)



This, in her daddy's words: Wrapped like OCK Curry puff... Hehehe. Aren't she supder cute?!



As u can see here, our little princess has very big and beautiful eyes. Very pretty, and look just like her mama. And i heard that she has a really strong voice. Maybe a potential 安培那杯 winner in the making? =)

I hasn't exactly got to carry Princess Luvelle as she's still very vulnerable. Up till now, she's about 3 days old. And yeah, i must say, she's really supder cute. Though i sleep in the next room but i hasn't exactly hear her cries in the night. For now, her cries are music to our ears. Haha.

Grow up fast, strong, healthy and happy! =)

Singapore confirms 91 new H1N1 cases, bringing total to 969

The Health Ministry (MOH) says it plans to stop listing affected countries on its website soon, as more countries stop reporting their cases.

It also says travel advisories are becoming less useful, as the risk of picking up the virus at home or overseas has evened.

It adds that the virus strain remains mild, except for high—risk individuals with underlying medical conditions where complications and even deaths can occur.

That is why MOH says its focus is on caring for those with more severe illness.

But it also says that managing the virus should be largely based on personal hygiene and those unwell with flu—like symptoms should seek immediate medical attention.


Well, Singaporeans, this is real ok. It didn't just happen to your neighbor country, it could just happen to your neighbor next door! So let's be more diligent in our washing up, and sanitizing. (Man, it's a boom for the sanitizing industry, but it's a MUST-Have for now)
