Exactly 34 months and 2 days ago, i joined Earth9 as a HR/Admin executive. Even though i was totally inexperienced, blur, and not knowing what was installed for the company from me, the company still accepted me as who i was.
With 1 day of orientation installed for me, from there on, there was a lot of things that i need to, in my boss’ words ‘get yourself dirty’. Which i did. I think i not just got myself dirty, i literally threw myself into the shit hole. Hahaha. It was tough, tough to the point that i felt that i could not stand it anymore. But i gritted my teeth and continue this road. And in a flash, all the issues that i struggled with, the utmost steep learning curve was gone, and i slowly learnt the rope of ‘who, what, where, when, how’ for my role.
I remembered the time where i was thrown into something that i’ve never done before – shifting office. I was like ‘WHAT THE….’ I never shifted house before and i had to learn how to do these. This was the biggest shit i thought i had thrown myself into. Hehehe. It was torturous, it was tiring, i shed much tears over the stress that it led to. But out of it, i saw the kindness and the couragement of my colleagues, who took me out to the Mr Bean nearby the office. They just sat there and drank coffee while i was just lost in thoughts….
Up till this year, there was a great change. For me to fulfil my desire to be able to study in Bible School this year, i decided to resign in January. And Boss kindly came up with a win-win situation for both me and the company where i can still maintain some level of financial fulfilment and the company to continue to receive HR support. For this, Boss, i’m eternally grateful. But with my graduation, my life as a Bible School student is over, and so is this arrangement. And it’s time for me to depart.
I wanna thank everyone whom has crossed paths with me in these 3 years, as below (get ready for a huge entry here!)
Earl – Thanks for accepting me, even though u foreseen that there’s gonna be a huge learning curve for you and me, cos i came in not knowing everything. Not to forget that i’m slow (and steady… haha)
Lakshika – Thanks for bringing me out for lunch yesterday. I really feel very appreciated at that. And talking to me, and bringing me into the prayer group that we had while at GMG.

CherMong – That day i wanted to say that your hair looked like… Chicken Little. But don’t worry, cos that’s not a bad thing. Chicken Little is supder cute, yay. Glad to know you!
And lastly my favorite listen, who always listen to me complain, grumble, listen to my rubbish and crap, and who’s my bestest friend… Sarah!
Thank you for always being there, besides me (though it’s really erm.. no choice.. haha), always with a willing ear to listen to me complaining, screaming, talking rubbish and coming with a huge load of crap at times, and for loving me. Thank you for always remembering me when u are overseas and never fail to give to me, no matter how small they are. Thank you for your love.
Sarah gave me a hand-made photoframe! Man, it’s supder sweet of her. Man, she must have added a few degrees to her myopia doing it. *Loves*

Jasmine – Thanks for the many lunch treats whenever you pop by office, which is like once or 2 times a month. Thank you for the many advices that you have given to me. Really glad to know you, u always inspire me whenever we chat!
Once again, i want to thank every individual one whom had crossed paths with me. Though your name is not mentioned, i still love you all. Goodbye is such an understatement here. As long as i’m still here in Singapore, alive and kicking, there’s no ‘Goodbyes’. There’s only, till we meet again.
Keep in touch!
Jenna
