Job Hunting update

I hasn’t really be updating much about my job search…

Just 2 weeks back, i got a rather quick response for this position, about 2 days later, where i was asked to copywrite an EDM, and to respond back within like 2 hours after i received the email. So, i just drafted my short advertisement in quick time before running out for tuition. And that was that. I was just hoping for the best, and didn’t really think much about it.

Early last week, i got a response from them. This time, it is another assessment which i was supposed to write a press-release for a new product on the market. And i researched on how to write a press-release, clicked to the website, thought about how i should write it and stuff like that. And i sent it back the next day. That was 1 Sep 2009.

Today is about exactly 5 working days from my submission. And there’s no news from them.

I’m not sitting on my laurels, I don’t think i should wait aimlessly without a result. But i am still hoping for the best, i hope to get a phone interview with the company. Even though i know that the chances are, i blew the press-release assessment.

 

I’m just gonna keep applying for marketing-related jobs.

Even though i keep getting HR-esq jobs, and i have rejected a few, because i am serious about going back to the marketing field, where i should belong. Tml, there will be a consultant from PS who’s contacting me for a temp HR/Admin job.

I’m seriously thinking if i should really take that up for the 4 months. Not that it’s confirmed as of now. I am definitely not giving up my desire to go back to Marketing. But….. when money is running low slowly , and the TaiTai-dom is not enticing, SIGH!
