Recap of 2009 and welcome year 2010

Happy Happy new year 2010!!!! What’s a good thing to show the celebrations -  it’s definitely fireworks!

Oh, if u hasn’t watched the countdown yesterday on TV or didn’t turn up at Marina Bay, the fireworks this year was 8 mins long!!! Wha… that’s enough for me to go to the toilet and come back, and sing one song on the karaoke system and still have time to switch back to Channel 5 for the last firework of the night. =P

I had a wonderful time at a fren’s house, where it wasn’t a very big crowd. We had a grand total of 5 people in this mini party. And boy, it was very fun. We played board game, sing karaoke, watched a really funny drama and drank some red wine and beer. And seriously, to bask in to the new year mood, i don’t need to go to Marina Bay, but i just need to celebrate with a few friends to enjoy the countdown on TV.

Cheers to a better year ahead!!

But of course, not forgetting my very short recap of 2009, in point form as below:

1) Entering
Bible School is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me this year. I made many good frens, and a fair bit of them whom i can share heart-to-heart with. And reading a lot more books, completed reading the whole Bible. =)

2) Leaving my ex-company was kinda hard, since there was really some emotional attachment to the colleagues who have been really helpful. Life was kinda tough for the company and which it repercussed to the staff. But everyone ploughed through.

3) Having my niece. To put it on record, i really like her. She’s chubby very very chubby, especially her cheeks!!!! And she always stares at me as if i’m some super chio woman..  *so embarassing!!! Hahaha.

4) Having to foster my dogs out. I miss them like crazy. I’m still seeing them – Thank God that we found a fosterer who stays nearby. Hope that i can bring them home once my niece grows up (mid to end this year??) / niece’s parents manage to find a flat of their choice…

5) Securing my current job in a large logistics company in Jurong Port Road. So far i’m loving it! Cause i’ve wanted to work in the West side, and i seriously don’t miss the city area one single bit. Jurong Point is like THE place for me to hang out. And i’m always amazed at the queue at Jurong East Interchange where people will travel in and out of Singapore to work everyday. That needs great tenacity!

Now, what do i want to see in this coming year:

1) I want to see myself more financially secure, and i’m keeping a very very tight rein of every single cent that i’m spending on. In hope that i can save up more and more money this year. And yes, earn more money!!!! Use my blog to earn money?? And continue with my assignments. =)

2) Lose weight!!! Argh…… can this be the year where i can say this for the last time?? I need discipline too. In this year, i want to exercise more and be healthier. I know of someone who’s so disciplined that her transformation is just so amazing. Man!!! I want to loooooossse weight!!!

3) Blog more. I’ve been lazy in the last few months, but i’m repenting, especially from the 1st day of this brand new year, i have a big entry here! =)

4) Wear skirts and dresses – I’m turning 30 this year, and i think i need a change of mindset. I’m not just wanting to wear pants only. I should start to expand my wardrobe. And about time, i guess. I need to breakthrough in this area.

5) Praying and serving more in the ministry. I want to serve in a greater measure. There’s some plans set in this. And i really pray that i can achieve it. =)

6) Bringing my dogs back. And have a harmonious relationship with the folks at home. 2009 was a year where i literally face-off with some folks at home because i am not going to do another wrong because of their wrong-doing.

7) Building meaningful and genuine relationships with people around me. I had a rather non-exist friendship? relationship? acquaintanceship with some people whom i ought to be close to. This year, i hope to see a change from where things are currently only-operational, non-relational and robotic.

It’s the first weekend of 2010! Let this year be a greater, bigger, and the best year yet for everyone! =)

Happy 2010!!!!!
