I’m in love…. with the jogging track =)

This year, i aim to be healthier and happier. U know, when u exercise, you began to stop thinking about all the shit that has been going on in your life, and began to sweat. And i guess, like chocolates, it releases eudorphines…. NAH i’m kidding.

Since early this year, i’ve started to become really diligent in going to the gym and swimming on Sundays. And so far i’m really enjoying every session. Exercising is really fun with friends. =)

Just last Tuesday, D asked me to try going to run on the track, instead of just running on the treadmill. Remember in 2 to 3 previous posts ago, i’m actually aiming to do 2 runs this year, namely the Nike Race 2010 and the Standard Chartered Run 2010. With that in mind, i went for my first time on the running track at Bukit Gombak Stadium.

i used to think that if i don’t exercise in the gym, i will really die of heatstroke.

But seriously, running on the running track has brought forth a new perspective. And do u know that Bukit Gombak track is surrounded by trees and all things natural? It’s such a joy to run on the track! On my first time, i ran 4.8km in a span of one hour! =)

Hurray to my way towards my 10km aim!!!

I ran another time on Tuesday, and as we didn’t know what time the stadium closes, we were also running happily and with the wind blowing in our faces. And just as i touched 2.8km in 30 mins, the bell rang (i didn’t know stadiums uses bells that schools uses), and the lights went off. It was 8.30pm. Gahhh….

I resolved to run today after work. So i rushed home after work, ate a quick dinner and walked from home to Clementi stadium (oh, that was really good warm-up and cool-down). The stadium is actually quite old (i had my primary school and secondary school sports day there….. see how OLD it is), and the track is really CHUI!!! They seriously need to revamp the track, which is practically peeling off. But i had a great time running. I started running from 7.40pm, and was really thinking that i could do an hour, when at 8.10pm, just as i hit 3.6km, one of the huge lamps started to have its lights off……. and i had to stop at 8.15pm, hitting 4km. Gahhhhh!!!!!

i should really run earlier. Looking forward to my next run on the running track…. before i succumb to all the CNY Goodies.
