BB Bold 9780 Vs BB Torch 9800

I really love my BLACKBERRY Curve 8520. I really do. To me, it’s the bestest and the worthiest investment i’ve made. I really thought that Sony Ericsson would capture my heart. Or, if ever, i get an IPHONE. But the moment i’ve set my heart on the BLACKBERRY, and got it on my hands, BAM! It’s a whole new world.

I love how i can access emails at whim, I love how it’s not a blardy Touch-screen, which irritates me to no end. I love how i can access Facebook, UberTwitter at any time. Oh wait! Iphone and Androids can do that too (i guess). And i love the QWERTY for typing.

Main thing is, BB is so easy to use!!! I won’t wanna turn aside from it!

However, BLACKBERRY CURVE, is after all, a very basic BB. Though it comes with a camera, it doesn’t have flash. There’s so many apps i wanna download for usage, but it’s not compatible to the many apps on App world. Oh, and besides, it’s already EOL for it.

I so wanna maximize the potential of BB App world. There’s too many things for me to even start exploring! And the only way is to get a better BLACKBERRY!

The 2 latest BLACKBERRYs that’s launched since the last quarter of 2010:

1) Blackberry Bold 3 (9780)

I’ve also read the review from CNet Asia.

My Telco carrier sells it for $398 (+ $100 for upgrade before plan’s up).

2) Blackberry Torch (9800)
I know, i so wanted a torch ever since i saw it’s intro video on Youtube….

The review from CNet Asia for BB Torch is here.

My Telco carrier sells it for $538 (+ $100 for upgrade before plan’s up)

Hmmm….. a bit hard to decide huh.

That’s why it’s such a dilemma to choose!!!

Let me combine the analysis of both phones from my review as well as the reviews that i’ve read:

BB Bold 9780 BB Torch 9800
Budget-friendly Budget not-so-friendly
Similar to BB9700 First slide BB
Great user review on CNet Not so good user review on CNet
Ok for web browsing Great for web browsing

Both also run on Blackberry OS 6, which the review is said to be more popular for Torch.

I posted my question on FB via twitter, and surprise surprise! More people support BOLD. A friend mentioned that BOLD series are the best phones among all the wonder BB phones. (And oh yes, she’s been using the BOLD BBs) And the most important thing which is the whole crux of the whole thing is; i chose BB is because i don’t want a touch screen phone. Buttons are so… ME!

Whoa! It seems that it’s very clear on what i’ll be buying. =)

Watch this space.
