My student kids...

Over here as i'm writing now, i'm seething with anger at my student, who angered me sooo much just now. What happened was this: i have 2 students who are of the same age (they are not twins, only one born in january, the other is born in december), whom i've taught since late last year, and started again in April this year. They are in Primary 4 this year. The older one i'll identify as LH, and the younger one is ZQ. LH is the older, but more mischievious, lazy and rebellious. ZQ is very quiet, but can get quite lazy too.

Last week they have just finished their examinations. And they got back their results. What i have to say is that their results really make me "heart attack" Today i saw their English paper. What irks me big time is that everytime i tell them to check and check and check, and they don't. I see so many marks they could have received, but because of what? careless mistakes!! And their maths and science, i won't comment but well.

Both did very badly in science... between 20+ to 30+ So today i got them to do some scienc revision. Today ZQ came in for the first hour, then LH will come in for the 2nd hour. So ZQ did her science for the first hour. During the 2nd hour when LH was there, i used ZQ's assessment book to copy some notes. Then i went to the washroom when LH was doing her work [I had already gone thru with ZQ the answers] and happened to slot the piece of paper in another page. But when i came back, i made a mental note that there was a change in the page where the paper was inserted. So i saw that a certain question had an answer and the questions before that wasn't even completed!

So i confronted her straightaway. I marked that question with a question mark. And after she finished the questions, i went through the questions, and i made her tell me how she came to the conclusion of how she got that correct answer. She can't give me an exact answer. So i asked her a few times : "Did u copy"? She vehemently denied - ALL the time. But i knew. And i made sure her grandma knows of it, and her father know that.

Despite doing that, she felt no remose. And gave a defiant face to show us. Grrrrrlll. Man! I was so angry, i felt a bit giddy after leaving the house. I felt my body was shaking uncontrollably and it was for quite sometime.. Is this PMS?? Even as i'm writing now, i feel so tired... so lethargic.. at least no headache, though i feel my head floating..

Tml will be a better day.. Overcoming PMS!!
