Boring weekday VS EXCITING Weekend!!

Hi people!! It’s been at least about 6 days since I’ve last blogged. Partially is due to the fact that after I’ve finished the assignment with Genes*s that I had nothing to do. And what did I do? Hmmm. Like what all pigs do…

SLEEP!!

*
*
And I really mean sleep. Since Tuesday all the way till about Thursday, I have been clocking at least 9-12 hours of sleep. But then, I think I slept too much, so I still feel tired. Either that, or that I’m still in the midst of recovering from staying awake for at least 40+ hours that was clocked last Friday-Saturday. Ally says : “You got so weak ah?” Hmmm, I dunno, but one thing I know: I don’t look like I’m physically weakened.

Let’s see… I remembered that when I was in Primary school, I had to take the 火针 or so-called BCG. Btw I think it’s a stupid way to describe it as 火 [fire], because there’s no element of fire in it, as I see it with my eyes.. I mean they don’t even burn the needle with fire or something. The only thing that I can comprehend about the fire part is the pain – after they extract out the needle.

They gauged whether if we need to take the BCG through an injection where you were poked into ur hand [the part that is very vulnerable, near to the elbows, usually if u donate blood, it’s around there] with a liquid. And there’s a ‘balloon’ that swells around there. So if the ‘balloon’ remains at a certain length, you will have to take. So I ‘met’ the ‘expectation’.

Imagine my shock when I have to go through that painful poking again in secondary 4! Argh! And yeah, I kinda ‘met’ the ‘expectation’ again. Thankfully, because I had taken the jab in Primary 6, I was spared. Thank God. Imagine taking ur BCG in Secondary 4 [whereas all ur classmates have taken it in Primary school] and YOU ARE ONLY ONE TAKING IT… Man, that’s very lau kui.

Enough of flashback. Let’s get on with the program =)

Job opening as a Telesales Officer in TUAS

As usual, I was sleeping in dreamland on Thursday, while I was awoken up by a call. It was an agent. So I went to see her, and she recommended me a job, as above. I tell u, I can’t believe how fast they are. After I left the place, and went for some food and slowly taking the bus home…

As I opened the gate of my house, my handphone rang. They submitted my resume to the company IMMEDIATELY after I left the place. And they called to tell me that I’m shortlisted!! Cool isn’t it??? As compared to R****** ******s, man they are Efficient with a capital E! Well… if I get the job, I’ll advertise for the agency FOC here. So friends, if u are looking for a job, you will know who to approach. The name is _______________. *happy guessing for now*

3rd time as an Auntie

Many of u who know me, probably knows that I’m an ‘auntie’… not the over 4* years that kind. But my cousins are really heeding the call of the government. So I got 2 nieces; Germaine (4 years old) and Gerlynn (2 month plus, the one that is born on the same day and month as yours truly). And on Friday, 25th November 2005, I got a nephew. He’s the son of my 2nd cousin who’s 2 years older than me. I dunno what’s his name yet. So I’ll just call him baby first lah. When I get the name, I’ll tell u guys =)

Baby was supposed to be due on the 23rd, but then there wasn’t any news on the 25th morning. Before Sheena went out, she was commenting :

”How come there’s no news about the baby’s due huh?”

Oh yah! Hmmm… so I was also kinda expecting a call saying that baby is born. So well…. Then that afternoon, Eichien called me, telling me that the baby was born on that day, by caesarean section, because the heartbeat was pretty weak on the supposed due date, so that’s why. But both mummy and baby are well. I even called Ferina in the afternoon to ask how she is. She sound tired lah, but I just wanna say :

~Ferina, I’m so proud of you. Though u shared that u are rather apprehensive about the delivery, but you are very brave!! Next time I’ll tell baby that mummy went through a lot for him. So must everyday sayang her lah.~

Pst Phil Weekend Service

Today marks the last time my chorus board team is serving at the Jurong West Church premises. And it’s Pst Phil leh!!! So the whole week I was preparing for ministry by listening to the songs that we need to sing. Man, it was good…I mean the songs. Nikki Fletcher came with “Change me” and there are other new songs that came with it.

U know ah, usually when overseas preachers come, they will usually lay hands and pray for categories such as

1) POLY and University students
2) Secondary school students
3) Working adults

And usually, I’m always don’t belong to those categories. Haiz….

So in the media room, my chorusboard leader was saying that Pst might pray for the Poly and Uni students. Which I felt quite true. Then I was pleasantly surprised when Pst said during service 5, that he’s going to pray for those that are 25 – 30 years old. When I heard that, I shouted:

“Yes! My turn has come!!!” =)

And I zoomed quickly from Level 4 to Auditorium. And, there was a humongous crowd. I guess service 5 has quite a lot of people who are 25 years and above.. And after that I zoom back to media room.

Service 6 came. And I can really focus on worshipping God.. The sermon was short. And I was thinking : “Probably Pst will pray for those that are not of my category… I hope I’m in the category…”

And then, Pst finished the sermon and said that he’s going to pray for those who are 20 – 25 years old! Wha!!! Praise the Lord!!! Some more I was sitting on the floor area, and I quickly went to the front. I was concentrating on worshipping God, when I felt the power of God, and next moment I realized I was already lying on the floor…

Guitar class Assessment

Just came back not long ago from guitar class.. Today is the second last lesson of the guitar class. Today we are supposed to play one praise and one worship, individually. I only started to practice the songs yesterday night.

Even in our enclosed room, we can actually hear how the other classes play the songs. WP came to assess us. I felt that our class was not so good, because we were like stranded there, because we were taking quite a long time to get started. Our standard wasn’t really that good I guess. And some more for the praise, I got on the easy way : playing 8-beats [shine like stars] The rest of the people were playing like 16-beats. But I felt that I rather do something that I am confident with.

For worship, we had to play “Thank You” … I was still thinking of what I can do, and it dawned on me before it was my turn to play, that I should use different strumming to do up-and-down the dynamics. So I did. WP was saying that the way I play worship is like a stable foundation and I got all the correct rhythm that is needed in that song. Hehehe.. it really made my day, even though my praise wasn’t so fantastic. =)

Next week … my final assessment is *argh!* Tell the world! -_-“ Oh man. That’s a real difficult song. But I’ll practice and pray. Yeah!!!

Today’s entry is the longest yet! Hope u didn’t get cross-eyed when u have reached here. =)
