Yesterday I was flipping the paper, when I came across an article on Peter F Drucker. If you have not known, I’m a management person, where I STUDIED management. I have heard his name since my diploma days when I learnt Principles of Management, HR management…. And even in my degree days when I did majority of the Management Major subjects such as Organisational Behavior, Employee Relations and Entrepreneurship, and Marketing Subjects such as Business Policy.
Anyway, why did I mention him? Because I have heard his name at least once a year in the past… 7 years? Hmmm.. maybe =) But well… as I was reading the papers, I saw an article that said that he died! Oh my…. Did ya know how old was he? A grand ole 95 years old! Wha!! Well well….
But I just wanna say that he’s the genius in the area of management. Those students who studied something with Management will DEFINITELY come across him… as well as people such as Abraham Maslow [Lol.. the pyramid of needs are already deeply etched in my brains.. can’t get it out!! =)] Yeah.. they literally 牵手to make a point in management. I’ll say that it’s a great loss to every corporate management, though they will quote him, from now on, in memory of him.
Talking about people and subjects… I’m a Marketing person too!! Lol… So in marketing, the most heard-about person is Philip Kotler. Hmmmm I have 2 of his marketing books, same title but of a different edition. Serious!! Really! [You must have been thinking: ur Tao Now Pai ah (ur brain’s fused??)] No! Just happened that when an edition changes, there will be more things to be added. Remember, we are living in very fast pace now… What is new today will be obsolete tomorrow. Isn’t that true, esp for technology?
