Channel U's "My special Journey" 身命无缺

Currently i'm watching this show...

It's shown on every wednesday at 11.30pm (I think i'm watching the repeated telecast if i'm not wrong)

That's why i'm so spur-on to blog.

Today's episode is on autism. 3 autistic people were featured. The first one was an 18 year old gal. Another was a 25 year old, and another one was a 14 year old boy who had this muscular disease which caused him to be physically impaired.

There was one thing that really struck me: Their parents' love for them, their willingness to sacrifice for their children.

For the 18 year old gal, she was diagnosed with autism at a very young age. Her daddy is a doctor, who was in one area of the medical field but switch to ... is that accupuncture? to explore more options. Her mother quitted her job to look after her full-time, to be her personal teacher, to teach her.

For the 25 year old, his mother went through a lot, have to endure his mood swings, and bad moods, she was even injured during one of those times and had internal bleeding in the ear.

The 14 year old's parents went around seeking treatment for their son.

I think it's really not easy for parents of autistic kids. They are really very long-suffering and they are willing to sacrifice their lives for their children. This show caused me to really realise the love that our parents have for us. And it's truly touching.

Kudos to Channel U for this show. More of such shows please!!
