Yesterday we had a Gathering at the Marina Bay. Yup it's with the W178 people who were in the cg from 2002 - 2005. Well.. as u know, what's best at Marina Bay? Besides Flying Kites? Yup, it's BBQ steamboat. That's where we went.
Anyway, after work, i had time from 2pm onwards. Was nearly dragged by Boss to go and see his apartment, which is not a favorite thing that i wanna do. I have set in my heart to do my nails, esp when they have grown out and the cuticles looks really gross to me. So initially i wanted to do at Bugis Village, since it's so near to me, and probably cheap and good lor. But well, that's too crowd.
So i proceeded on to Bugis Junction, where i know of one really bombastic looking nail shop at the Edge. Wha.. the price also quite bombastic. Not my cup of tea though. And my last option was at the Bugis Point-Trendy Zone; Icon. I headed for the directory and made my way to the 2nd floor. This shop called Tip Top Nails.
Well, there were only 2 gals in the shop. And so i was being attended to by one of the gals. She's quite pretty, only very very.. and i mean VERY BONY. So i hesitated for a while, so there was another customer. Then the other gal in the shop came out to talk to me. Well, i needed to do my nails anyway. But what struck me was the resemblence betwen the 2 gals.
Anyway, i've asked. They are siblings.... and i got my new nails. $25 for a bright pink one, with 2 free nail art (white flower). Sorry ah, no photos, as u know, my laptop crashed, so no syncing of my phone. (Boo!)
So after 45 mins, i got new nails, but still have so much time on hand. So went to Ritz to eat Apple Strudel. Hmmm.. $3.50 for one slice. Still alright lor, except that i still craves the one that i ate in Perth. Just like the fish and chips in Aussie, nothing in Singapore can match that, except Fish and Co.
Food!!! The most popular BBQ steamboat restaurant is : 镇发活海鲜. And there's a few others, which i'll label them PS, and CP. Hahaha.. those who came early will know what they stand for. Anyway PS had a marketing stunt, which didn't seem to attract the go-ers. Anyway, our first option is definitely 镇发, but it's so crowded lor. So we ended up at CP. Hmmm... ate there quite a few times. What i can say is that there's not much variety of foods available. The nice ones are the cooked food. The bee hoon is fabulous, and the french fries are so sinfully and deliciously fried. Hahaha... anyway, i guess it's been worked off at Gym today. =)
Haha.. tomorrow is going to be a new week. It's going to be great! Yeah... and my exercise regime is going to get better and better.
