I'm slapping myself : Women are fickle-minded creatures

Yes, this is a slap to myself.

Below are things that went through my brain the past week:

I want a better gym package....

Anyway, i had this feeling in me that i want more freedom in going for gym. When i go gym, i have to travel allllll the way to Bugis. Though i know Robinson Road is not that bad lah, but still..... 4 days a week only!!! Argh!

Tuesday: Go gym
Thursday: CG (No go, unless that week no cg)
Saturday: Go gym (go early means have ministry.... can't go for classes.... miss my Bodycombat)
Sunday: Go gym (after church... if have to go home earlier, means no time to fellowship)

I mean, though it's a fixed timing, but then, it gets very mundane. I wish.. i wish... i wish for a better package... like all gyms all days.

So what happened is that i spoke to a Consultant who advised me to :
a) Stick on with what i have, since i have budget constraints, which i have increased to $90 per month, which is a big jump from my $67.20 per month.
b) Pay a sickening $148 for admin, and $109 per month for subscription (the nerve!!!!)
c) Cut my plan, and then rejoin (need to pay again for the admin fees right?!) during the promotional period (like when??? infinity?)

I happened to go Orchard, and popped by the big branch, who said the same stuff.

I went back to Bugis, and spoke to the AGM who gave me the same answer.

I'm pissed!!!

So, i went to do some research through:
- internet
- Friends recommended (WY recommends FF, which is way toooooo much for me....)

I have visited FF before, and well, it's nice, but too high-class for me.

Here's my 2-cents worth of research and past testings:

FF
1) It has a very high-class feel. The rental fees at Paragon is enough for kills.
2) With locations at such Centralized-heavy traffic right smacked there, the fees is non-arguably the most expensive of all.
3) Good facilities
4) As per point 2, it's convenient, though not many locations known (need more adverts!! )
Allocation of points: 5 + 3 + 7.5 + 7 = 22.5 of 40

PF
1) Superb customer service (yes, they are not the pushy types)
2) Facilities is so-so, good key locking system, but no sauna. Steambath was not working when i was there (minus points)
3) Gym classes is so-so (give a good adrenaline rush still) and think not as lively as thought to be.
4) Price plans is expensive (but not as FF)
Allocation of points: 10 + 6.5 + 6.5 + 5 =28 of 40

CF
1) Friendly Staff
2) Facilities is excellent (the best among the 4 so far.), except that users has to use their own padlocks
3) Gym classes are adrenaline-pumping, but the classes are not as happening
4) Price plans fluctuates like no-body's business (BIG FAT MINUS/PLUS POINT)
Allocation of points : 9 + 9 + 7.5 + 2 = 27.5 of 40

AF
It can be a very unfair comparison, since i'm going for trial tml. But i'll judge based on what i saw.
1) Friendly staff
2) Facilities are catered specially for women, but the place looks small and cramp. Another minus point is - No sauna, and have to self-bring padlocks. Located North-east-south-west of Singapore (BIG FAT PLUS POINT!!!)
3) Gym classes are specially designed for ladies. Engaging of specialist to design them. Personal Trainers holds high qualification such as Masters in Sports Management. (i don't think i'm bothered with qualifications, as long as they can train, they are good trainers)
4) Price plans don't fluctuate, but is limited to certain periods of time, and they don't limit to gyms. Price plan is available for gym only, or classes (complimentary), based on limited number or unlimited.
Allocation of points: 8 + 9 + 6 + 5 =28 of 40

The top student is (drumrolls....)

Oh we have a tie between PF and AF, both at 28 points!!
Which is followed by CF with 0.5 points lesser, at 27.5 points.
And the last is FF lagging at 22.5 points.

What i can conclude is that: Price is the main thing, but not everything. Facilities and accessibility plays a big part in drawing the crowd to the gyms. You people hearing what i'm saying?

Seriously, it seems that AF is the best new alternative for me. But it remains to be seen, as i hasn't experience the facilities. It may be good,it may be bad. The price is good, admin fee gonna be waived off.... willing to wait for me to finish my plan with CF.

I'm Tempted!!!

***

I knew that i want that plan, but i know that with cashflow suddenly invested in there, there's no buffer. Not safe at all!! I must be more prudent with cash.

I like CF... but their fluctuations really put me off. And their attitude of "You can go ahead..."

Consideration of building fund season, it's better that i stick through with CF. At least i have spare cash on hand. It's more prudent this way. And i have peace of heart ever since i've decided on that.

Yes, sticking on this decision will cause me to continue in this mundane style of gym-life. But what to do? At least i still get to gym right? I'm going to believe God for blessing lah. Since my windows are open, who knows, someone will bless me with a fully-paid package.... hahaha

This transition from wanting to change to sticking on, is only like a span of 4 days.

In conclusion: it's proven, women are fickle-minded creatures!! And i'm proud to say that i am !!! :)
