Anyway, i want to continue from where i left off yesterday from the Family Day. After that, i wanted to buy a pair of shoes, because i have only 2 surviving pair of shoes. What a sad thought! Mic suggested going to Century Square (check out www.centurysquare.com.sg)
as she previously worked there before. And for one, she's super excited about that place. When she was doing internship, she was raving about it, for the good and for the terrible (the distance travelled)
Since my aim is to buy shoes, she suggested a shop called Mondo, which we headed for. I was dilly-dallying for quite a bit. Frankly speaking, the shoes are very beautiful, very special, but 2 bad things:
- Shoe size
- Very high-heels When i say High ah, it means the shoes can really make u tall and suffer at the same time.
Mic can't buy the shoes from there, because the largest size is a 39...
Eventually, i decided on a pair of in June's opinion: Auntie . But it's a very nice pair of shoes ok. See for yourself!
After that, we needed to go to the washroom. And i tell u, the washroom is super amazing! For one, it didn't really look like a toilet.
Imagine all the cubicle doors are closed shut, u can't really tell it's a toilet in a shopping Centre. Let's face it lah, even if u go to other shopping centres, will u see such a nice toilet? Most toilets puts ppl off. This toilet is comparable to a hotel's one right? And hotels may not even have such nice mirrors, let alone an area to put make-up. Ladies, are you enticed yet??
Me and Chien started to take pictures again. Oh, I forgot, there was a very comfy sofa, where we were sitting on it and taking the picture.
From the picture, can see how cosy the sofa is right. It's made of something-like corduroy material, a bit furry. I like!!!
U know, the shoes really hurt, but it's very nice, make my feet look smaller and more dainty (not that my feet's not dainty enough). I guess, wearing it for the first time, it will 'bite', because it's squeezing the toes into the shoe.
Customer Service Centre at Hewlett-Packard
On wednesday, i took a trip from office to HP to get a laptop fixed. It's been sooo many years since i've stepped into Alexandra Technopark. But everything remains the same, not much changes. There are still makeshift stalls selling stuff that are interesting, quirky at times, and useful.
I stepped into the customer service centre, and there was a receptionist sort of guy outside the centre. He gave me several options on whether to wait for the queue to come, or to do a drop. I'm on official e9 business, i have to wait in queue lah. So he gave me a queue ticket and told me that it would be at least a 20min wait. He directed me to the waiting area and told me that i could help myself to the drinks there.
DRINKS?
Man! I have to say, it's quite impressive. The waiting area had some comfy chairs as well as those metal-round table and complementing metal chairs. And there was a built-in pantry. What was found there were: Cakes, sugar, cups... and a coffee machine. It's not just a normal plain looking coffee machine. It's a super-nice, NESCAFE machine that is red in color, with 5 options; Coffee, Tea, Milo, Latte, Cappucino.
Since the guy said that it would be a 20 min wait, i nua-ed at a metal-table-and-chair, and took a cup of cappucino. The capuccino could do with more sugar. And it was in pure comfort waiting for the machine to be serviced. I'm quite impressed with the service centre, where people can wait in comfort. It's nice to know that HP cares for their customers, and provides comfy seats to alleviate the frustrations of waiting. :)
