Sudden lost for words.... -_-

I've been planning on what i want to write on this entry. Esp through Friday to Sunday (Today), there was quite a lot of happenings, and i really want to really blog what i wanted to write.

Don't understand? I mean, i know what i want to write about, but seems that i'm experiencing writer's block. Urgh.

These are the few things that i want to share:

The battle of the cake shops

Yesterday, i was tasked to purchase 2 birthday cakes for 2 of my group members who are having birthday. So, i was 'wasting time', thanks to my 'faithful' Airticket provider, who sabotaged me and caused me to make a wasted trip to validate my boss' ticket (the airline doesn't open on weekends and the smarty told me it's open. *angry*). Anyway, i was at Dhoby Ghaut, since the airline is there. After that, i went to buy a cake at PS. So at the basement, i rejoiced in my heart as i saw Polar Cakes. And i chose 2 cakes and asked for 2 candles.

Guess what? The gal pointed to a squarish cake with 'Tom and Jerry' pattern and said that only this pattern can give candle. -_-'''

Is this crazy or what? As long as it's cake, i think they can have a candle on them! Ok?! Anyway, being pressed for time, i just smiled and exited. And decided to walk further down. And i saw Bengawan Solo. =)

With my this title, i shall rank the various cake shops in chronological order as below, from best to worse..:
  1. Bengawan Solo: My favorite!! Lurve the corn kueh!! It's a must-try!!!
  2. Prima Deli: Used to think that it's affiliated to Bengawan (lol), but i like it's waffles, pity that the maple syrup flavor is not longer available ='(/li>
  3. Breadtalk: Talking bread (haha...). I love the Curry Naan. Finger licking good =)And, besides, it's one of the fastest growing bakeries in Singapore.
  4. Lavender Cake Shop: Love the cheese cake from JB... Wonder if it's available in Singapore
  5. Angie's the Choice: Expensive but impressive. Never tried it before though
  6. Polar Puffs and Cakes: I only like the black pepper crab puff. But was put-off by their stingyness (candle incident).

Different people has their likes and dislikes. I represent myself. So, it's solely my view. I don't need to hear any justification, because i truly believe in 'One man's meat is another man's poison'. So apologies if u lurve polar. I stick by my favorite Bengawan anyday! =)

God of my forever

This week, there was a new song that was sung at church. It's really a love song to God. And i just want to share the lyrics out. It's written by KC Gan.

Verse 1:
God of my youth I remember
your call on my life took me o'er
your luv has seen me through all my days
I stand here by your grace
On this altar I've written my life
Tells of a story I have with you my Lord
I want the world to know

Chorus:
God of my forever
And forever I'm with you
My life is saved with a price
yourr sacrifice redeemed my soul
God of my forever
And forever I will sing
My greatest hOnor will always be
To serve my Lord and King

Verse 2:
God of my all I've surrendered
My heart finds its rest in your word
Praises will not be enough to show
How my Love for you has grown
Nothing matters when you're here with me
In the end just to hear you say "Well done"
Bowing before your throne

This song really touched the hearts of the people. I was serving this week, and i was doing directing. So usually during worship, i'll be attentively listening to my comms, and at the same time listening to the new song. Guess what? After the first stanzar, i found myself tearing, when i listen harder to the words of the song. And the presence of God can be felt, to me personally.

When you read the words carefully, it tells of how we love God, and how we yearn to get His approval, and not the world's. And how we surrender our lives to Him, and everything that we do, is to serve our Lord, our King.

i wish to blog more, but if i babble on, i think it will take me typing till 2am! Urgh!! Tomorrow's a brand new week, and more battles to fight. Will share on what Dr A.R. Bernard shared in my next entry.

Warning: next few entries will be quite word-y =)

Ps, just realized how ironic my title is.... sudden lost for words and yet i talked so much. Hahaha...
