一公升的眼淚 (one litre of tears)

I'm not an emotional person, but watching this show really drained me emotionally.

This show was shown on Ch 56 in July, which it spanned 11 episodes. It's about a real life story of a young girl battling with an incurable disease in which she found strength in writing, as an evidence of her being alive, despite her gradual loss of motor and vocal movements. And in the midst of all, learning to live her life in her condition. With her writing, she has impacted many who also suffered the same disease as her.

This novel is called A diary with Tears (or 1リットルの涙, Ichi Rittoru no Namida ), which was published after she died.

This show really caused me to teared quite a bit. It's a real meaningful show. Though it's no new show, but it's a show where God's common grace is shown. It showed stories of how the girl struggled with the realization of her illness and how she accepted and learn to live with it, doing her best to run against the race of time. In the show, her brother was ashamed of having a sister who was physically disabled and was laughed at, and how this situation was overcomed, how despite difficulty, doing her own best to continue living.

I'm gonna end with the theme song for this show. It's a great song, though... i hasn't really understood the meaning. Ah, it's a sad song definitely. Enjoy.
