Guys, Viewers' Choice is back again!! It's a time where you get to vote on your favorite ad, which u have seen through 2007.
Last year there were a few ads that i really really like, but it wasn't brought to fruitation. But this year, being more knowledgeable, i can really show what's my choice of favorite ads. I mean, C'mon la, i take the bus like everyday, and also get entertained by TV Mobile when i'm not immersed in my PSP. I definitely watch a lot of TV ads.
Top 3 favorite local ads
S9: All-in-one Digital Video Recorder/StarHub
This is my first choice. I seriously think that this commercial really brings the correct message across on what it wants to do; Watch, Surf, Talk. And... that lady's irritated-'huh'-shock-faint expression, is priceless!! Hahahaha....
S4: M1 Suntalk Plus Launch Campaign
In case if anyone didn't remember this commercial, M1 was promoting Free IDD calls to 15 countries. And it's a cute way la. Though i dunno if Singaporeans will wait for Oily butter chicken which arrived in a parcel 3 days later.... lol
This commercial stood out as when the fella say: "Deliver everywhere, no area restrictions", and end up he says : "Mumbai ah, India". I guess calling for free to 'ji siao' people, and seeing their expressions, is yet again, priceless.
S7: Anything/Whatever
This is one commercial that is, in 1 word: Crappy
I dunno about u, but i've never tried 'Anything' because it's carbonated. I tried 'Whatever' though. Buying a can, is like a gamble, u either get the Lemon Tea flavor or something else. Seriously, i think, its print ads are much better. But well, it's an interesting commercial as compared to the rest.

i don't plagarize ok. But this is one good picture that shows how much more interesting the Bus ads are.
And, up till now, i still don't really like Anything/Whatever.
2 Commercials that i thought should be nominated
1) Mocca.com [Selling Car]
This is the first TVC that came with the launch of Mocca.com, and what i think is; it's the best among the 3. As they say, the first one is more often than not, the best one. It's corny to a right level that makes ppl go -_-"', but not crappy like the "I'm selling my house". This is what i call an appropriate and eye-catching ad.
2) Singtel - MIO Box
If i'm not wrong, this is the first commercial to introduce MIO....Good concept to show that one box enables one to surf internet, fixed line and internet line, with talking modem (MIO), talking Handphone, TV, Phone set. Easily understood, even without much explanation.
Note: This is not an advert. I just like to comment on my favorite ads. That's all. =)
