Been having this disturbing mucus running down my nose, unnoticed, suddenly since 2 days ago.
And it was quite bad yesterday. Yah, Pink Dolphin didn't work well.
Cancelled my tuition yesterday because i felt so drained and already half-gone. Though wanted to visit my trusty GP but then realized that it was kinda late and i don't wanna wait late into the night.
This morning, i woke up feeling like crap. To add it up, i woke up earlier that usual at 6am and stared at my ceiling till 7.30am before deciding to go to the clinic.
Since young, i've visited the West Coast Clinic and Surgery, where i always got to the Blk 517 branch. For one, i don't visit often, as i'm quite healthy and don't fall sick often.
The silly thing is that i've prep-ed to go to work after the visit, but when i've registered myself at 8.35am at the clinic, i only saw the doctor at like...10am. (Good doctors always get visited by many patients)
As usual, it's this Dr Yeo.
This doctor is good, and maybe even psychic.
As usual, his first 2 questions will be:
1) What is wrong with u
2) *only applicable to ladies* 你的月经来了吗? (translated as: Has your period come already?)
I remembered he started asking me this 2nd question when i visited him when i was like... in sec 3. During those times, i felt totally embarassed at such a question, though i may be familiar with him la. Now, i don't feel anything when he ask this. It's already like SOP that i have to answer this question.
Anyway, i got a day's mc, and slept through the afternoon. And in the night, i realized the Doc is really spot on. It really came. *geez. Is he psychic or what?!

Flu-ish
Gonna start and end this entry within 5 sentences.
Feeling flu-ish and having mucus-sy nose and sore throat. Tired, and slept with the purifier with eucalyptus oil.
Argh, i still have tuition later, surviving on plain water and ole trusty Pink Dolphin Drink.
*Sniff

My very first collage
I dunno if u know there's such a software, but Picasa2 is actually a Google application, where it allows u to create collages (U know, a mix of pictures that looks like they are overlapping).
As someone who constantly want to improve my skills, i am inclined to try this.
I mean, i'm not rich enough, and don't see the need to invest in Photoshop software, which i'm not good at it, since i've never used it before (but i'm willing to learn if somebody is willing to teach). So i decided to download this Picasa thingy, about 2 weeks back, and forgot about it... until today.
*****
I'm feeling pretty!!! Muahahaha.... *Feeling nacissistic!
U didn't see this coming huh??? It's been toooooo long that i last posted a picture of myself.
Now i'm going to show 4 pictures at once.
Here it is!
My very very very first Collage!
I was thinking that my makeup is ok enough to take pictures. U know la, there are days u look like a million bucks and there are some days u look like crap. And it's not everyday i look like $1,000,000, so i took a few different shots, namely:

- Silly face look, on most left. I've cleverly hidden my left eye which accentuates my silly look, so it won't look at obvious. I still have an image to maintain. *lol
- Shows my weakness of unevenly sized eyes, which, the main picture has hidden about 45% of it.
- Main picture shows my shiny face on landscape, which accentuates my fat face. -_-"
- Last picture, the nicest of all, but don't really look like me. I have to re-emphasize, that it's me, ok!!
U can do 2 things: either complement me on my effort to pick up this skill, or puke at my buayhiaubai-ness.
Hahaha...
It's been a busy day, so i'm just feeling crappy, and took a dig at myself! Enjoy!!!

Beautiful Saviour - Planetshakers
Recently we have been singing some new songs from Planetshakers (That's where Guy Sebastian; Australia Idol, came from).
Personally i'm not really into Planetshakers as i'm more inclined towards Hillsongs and even Don Moen (yah, i'm that 老派).
this song that i want to share is one that when we sang it the first time 3 weeks back, it felt... weird. But after singing it a few more times, i realize how beautiful this song is, and how it sings of how Beautiful our Saviour is.
Jesus, Beautiful Saviour
God of all Majesty
Risen King
Lamb of God
Holy and righteous
Blessed Redeemer
Bright morning star
All the heavens shout Your praise
All creation bow to worship You
How wonderful, how beautiful
Name above every name
Exalted high
How wonderful, how beautiful
Jesus Your name
Name above every name, Jesus
I will sing forever
Jesus I love you
Jesus I love you

No conclusion
One and a half years ago, i blogged about the death of one of my ex-cg members.
He was killed within the condo where he lived, at Pandan Valley, where he was involved in a Hit-and-Run accident.
Everyone has moved on, though knowing that RS is not longer in our midst, and he is remembered as a great person, who's passionate about music and is very very very talented. And not to forget, a great friend.
The headlines of Newpaper, just brought forth memories of the dreadful day that he was killed in that incident.
Not only that.
It's also the coroner's report. About him being in the hit-and-run.
AND..... What the hell is going on about him falling off the building!!!!!
Was talking to Weiying and we both agreed that RS WILL NEVER COMMIT SUICIDE!
I mean, we all feel the loss, and he has been gone for the past 1 year plus. LET THE DEAD REST IN PEACE, CAN OR NOT?
Wha'dda mean when u say there's no closure?
Why make it so complicated to suggest that he fell off a building and etc etc etc, which further disturb the lives of people who are still grieving, ie his siblings, parents and friends. Why disturb them with conclusions that baffle them again and again?
I'm totally pissed off after reading that article. U can read it here .

My mother is a volcano
Here's something 'funny' that i've encountered.
As u know, i've just started with my tuition with Ariel, my student from last year. I'm teaching her for Sec 1, which is an area that i want to breakthrough too. It's been 2 lessons, and things are quite ok, except for scoping for proper assessment books.
MOE changed the syllabus, and it's hard to find the correct kinda books.
The things that i've studied during my time, doesn't apply 100% for now. So i myself have to read up quite a bit of things.
Anyway, Student asked me to help with her Literature today. On Similes. So, she needed to hand in a literature work where she need to describe her mom.
The heading of her worksheet wrote: My mother is a star.
Guess what she wrote for her heading.
My mother is volcano.
This is her attempt on completing her assignment.
- It feels warm when she start to talk
- She loves wearing red
- She's unpredictable; you won't know when she will erupt.
(-_-)"'
Geez. So 'humorous' huh.
She's really aiming to be the 'Best' Joker of all the students i've taught. Rather, the 最幽默 and most 瞎..... I need to teach her in my winter wear if this goes another level deeper.
I really wonder if she will hand in her work tomorrow as it is.

Final Showdown 21st Feb 2008: Singapore Vs Moscow
Today the excitement's brewing.
Last entry, i spoke about the 5 candidate cities that was shortlisted to host the YOG 2010.
When i stepped into the office today, i heard my BM saying that today is the day where 2 cities are in the finals. Which is like... the FINALS....
And Singapore is in the finals! Up against Moscow.
Read here for the announcement. The full article (Asiaone News) is as below.
*****
IT'S official - three down, one to go. Singapore will be going head to head with Moscow to win the right to host the 2010 Youth Olympics.
This was announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Monday when it unveiled its final shortlist following months of preparations and presentations by the bidding cities.
Singapore beat three other candidate cities - Athens, Bangkok, and Turin - to reach the top two, proving to be one lean mean bidding machine when it comes to chasing the Youth Olympic dream.
About 300 students from the Singapore Sports School, representatives from the National Sports Associations (NSA) and 120 corporate executives gathered at Amis at Sentosa to hear the good news.
Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports said, 'We are glad that the IOC has recognised the high quality of Singapore's bid.'
'We offer the IOC the opportunity to create a new legacy, by showing how a small city-state can also be part of the exciting Olympic movement,' he said.
Teo Ser Luck, Parliamentary Secretary (MCYS) also added: 'The bid committee is extremely encouraged by the enthusiastic and resounding support of all segments of our society, particularly our youth and the more than 200 local and multi-national corporations who have pledged their commitment to welcome the 5,000 athletes and officials to Singapore.'
Last November, an IOC panel of experts had given Moscow high marks of 7.5 to 8.4 - based on a scoring system of a minimum and maximum grade.
Singapore was close behind, earning a score of 7.4 to 7.9.
According to the report, Singapore scored well in all but one category - the feasibility of its proposed Games Village at the National University of Singapore's University Town @ Warren.
The report voiced concerns that the project may not be completed in time for the Games which kick off in two and a half years.
But those fears were apparently allayed when an IOC official dropped by for a visit last December.
Plans for a back-up Village - which will be set using existing facilities at Nanyang Technological University- was shared with the official.
The Games will feature about 3,500 athletes aged between 14 and 18, competing in 26 sports.
Following the IOC's announcement, IOC members will be asked to vote by postal ballot to pick the Host City.
The results will be announced before the end of February.

Support SG to host YOG 2010
Everyone has heard of Olympic games, which happens once every 4 years.
But, do u know that, in 2010, there's going to be a first ever Youth Olympic Games? The first ever!
The difference is that this Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is for athletes who are between 14 -18. This idea was first conceptualized in 2001, and finalized on this idea only last year. Read more about its history here .
In this first ever YOG event, it has been decided to be held in 2010, and there are 5cities that are in the final selection for the event, namely:
Now is already January 2008. In another month or so, it will be known, which of these 5 cities will get to host this event. And in every city, excitement is brewing with the progress on the bid.
So for u out there, if u want to know what is currently happening with the bid, u can read here for more information.
As a Singaporean who's born and breed here, i grew up listening and singing this song, Count on me, Singapore . When i was really young, i always feel very proud singing this song, because it says that i'm part of this country, though i couldn't do much.
But when i grew older, the significance of this song has diminished somewhat. I guess when ppl grow out of things, saying "Count on me" can become a cliche. Because when this is said, and nothing happens, these words are just cheapo words that falls to the ground. How will i know when the country will need to count on us? And when there's a need, WILL Singapore be able to count on us, or another person for that matter?
This is not patriotism. It's really about making your words to be of value, of substance.
And NOW is the time, that u can do something about it. Let Singapore Count on us.
We need your support. We are 'shortlisted' for the Bid to host the first ever Youth Olympic Games. Btw, if u are really not bothered about where we stand , we are at 2nd position, just before Moscow. We are THAT strong, in case if u think so small of this little-red-dot-on-the-globe that you have lived in.
Show your support for Singapore by logging on to our official YOG website . U can also do the following things:

Breakthrough Breakthrough
Actually this new month of 2008 was a really challenging time for me.
Lotsa things are happening, which burdened my heart for the company.
Which u can see, they are not good things.
Yesterday just heard another news, and dreaded about work today.
Said a prayer for this incident, and hope for the best.
THANK YOU JESUS
Though it didn't happen, but solutions just popped of Boss' and my head just like that, even without much deep thinking. The Grace of God is sufficient for us. Even hiring from the Monster.com has started to see its effectiveness.
But now, i need to focus on my hires. I cannot break it. I MUST MAKE IT!
Keep me in prayers. Thanks

FlashBack 2007
My flashback 2007 is loooong overdue. Attempted to do it once, but it gets draggy. So here goes, in point-form, but chronologically. Be warned: it's going to be a long entry.
January 2007
One of the most trying times of my life: doing something that i've never done before, and realized that i've grown from it. And realized that i can't take liquor, or cocktail (Geez... gimme a Tiger any day).
February 2007
First i broke my front teeth, then broke my toenail. *sigh*. And what i never expected actually happened, so much for boasting at 110% impossibility huh. 真的被打败了
March 2007
April 2007
Learnt that u should never dye your hair this kind of red/purple shades. The rest of the world always think i dye my hair red.... I dyed it purple la!! And, my complaints about M1 didn't go unnoticed. Got my $150 voucher. At least i acquired basic HTML skills for now :)
May 2007
Won't forget that 'Free show' in a long while, because it's a 110%-you-may-not-encounter-this-in-your-life encounter.
June 2007
As Sam explained, it's really by how lucky u can get, when u get kissed. If the mozzie bit an Ades carrier within the day and bit u, u are lucky. But if the poison has 酝酿 for a few days in its body, then ... good luck.
July 2007
Watched the worst of the Harry Potter Movie. May the next one be better.
August 2007
I love analyzing stuff. :)
September 2007
What a month. I love my Toshiba Vista Business Laptop, and occasionally erratic singnet wireless broadband connection. Which, started my obsession with YouTube and watch it more than the Television set.
October 2007
Most significant of all, is that as a CG, we uprooted ourselves from what we are familiar with, and replanted ourselves back in Jurong West, our miracle Building.
November 2007
I blogged a lot during the work trip. Like the fact that i can travel for work, learning independence which i realized that i'm so sheltered. Sometimes u really need to go out and see the world. I'm glad i got the PSP instead of the DS Lite. Geared up myself for the new challenges at Jurong West Chorus Board :)
December 2007
It's nice to give something from the bottom of your heart. Sometimes, how much it cost is secondary. Anyway, i love to personalize things now. :)
Next Entry: Will be penning down what i want to see for 2008. And it will appear as a section on my blog, to remind me of what i've written down and resolve to do it.
January 2007
- Went clubbing for the first time in my life - Yes, i'm that sua-ku...
- Lost part of my front teeth (2 of it were chipped off) and got a filling costing $125
- Doing office shift when i've never even shifted house ever, in my life (and learnt that shifting house will be an even bigger piece of shit when it will happen)
One of the most trying times of my life: doing something that i've never done before, and realized that i've grown from it. And realized that i can't take liquor, or cocktail (Geez... gimme a Tiger any day).
February 2007
- Couldn't stand the sickening O2 phone and finally the 2 years is up to change my phone
- Broke my toenail - whole
- 110% Impossible became possible. Never expect Boss to read my blog. Forgot what business e9 is in (-_-)"
First i broke my front teeth, then broke my toenail. *sigh*. And what i never expected actually happened, so much for boasting at 110% impossibility huh. 真的被打败了
March 2007
- Experiencing the whole building of IOI swaying while Sumatra was having quake
- Analysis of phones, and decided to go for Sony Ericsson phone, which i've never regretted :)
- Meet up with my school Chums after 2 years :D
- Bloody stool - never understimate what your stools can tell u
April 2007
- Dye my hair purple with red streaks, not the other way round
- Picking up HTML
- Willing to walk on Sunshine
Learnt that u should never dye your hair this kind of red/purple shades. The rest of the world always think i dye my hair red.... I dyed it purple la!! And, my complaints about M1 didn't go unnoticed. Got my $150 voucher. At least i acquired basic HTML skills for now :)
May 2007
- Visited St James Boiler Room
- Introducing CP shrimp wanton
- 'Free Show' on the Mrt *Gross
Won't forget that 'Free show' in a long while, because it's a 110%-you-may-not-encounter-this-in-your-life encounter.
June 2007
- West Coast as a red-alert area
- Learnt that u either get lucky or get 'lucky' when u get the 'kiss' from an Ades Mosquito
August 2007
- Analysis of the cake shops
- Singapore movie of the year: Papaya-aka-881
- Branded wallet for my birthday
I love analyzing stuff. :)
September 2007
- New Laptop and new connection
- Tremors unfelt
- Great Tennor, and The Body shop founder dies
What a month. I love my Toshiba Vista Business Laptop, and occasionally erratic singnet wireless broadband connection. Which, started my obsession with YouTube and watch it more than the Television set.
October 2007
- FaceBook Reigns
- The cheem movie: Lust, Caution (cut version)
- Goodbye Expo, Hello Jurong West
Most significant of all, is that as a CG, we uprooted ourselves from what we are familiar with, and replanted ourselves back in Jurong West, our miracle Building.
November 2007
- Bought my first toy in a long while: PSP Slim Rose pink
- Student got into Express stream
- Work Trip to KL
- Goodbye Chorus Board Expo
I blogged a lot during the work trip. Like the fact that i can travel for work, learning independence which i realized that i'm so sheltered. Sometimes u really need to go out and see the world. I'm glad i got the PSP instead of the DS Lite. Geared up myself for the new challenges at Jurong West Chorus Board :)
December 2007
- Personalized gift from the heart
- 2 JB trips in a month - siao bo?
- Company dinner at Indulgz
It's nice to give something from the bottom of your heart. Sometimes, how much it cost is secondary. Anyway, i love to personalize things now. :)
Next Entry: Will be penning down what i want to see for 2008. And it will appear as a section on my blog, to remind me of what i've written down and resolve to do it.

Condom Ad
While i was alighting at the bus stop outside my house, i saw an interesting Bus-stop ad. Looks very colorful, and attention catching... Until i saw what it really was...
Have u seen this before? Somewhere at the bus-stop near your house/workplace?
Like most people who browse briefly on ads, i will think that they are promoting sweets or boxes of nice things and technology. First look on the colorful covers, i'd be inclined to think that the closest thing i can think of is the cover for laptops. Those that u can buy and paste on the top of your laptops.
When my eyes browse more in detail to the ad that i realized, that they are CONDOMS! (-_-)''
I must say, that it's an impressive ad, because it does not sound erotic, and people have to stop and think a while about the word Love Box, before coming to realization what it is promoting.
****
Disclaimer: I do not promote erotic products. This entry is solely about me putting on my marketing mind and penning down what i see with my mind. No doubt, the patterns are nice; think they will look good as patterns for my laptop cover ;)
Seeing this near my house, is so wrong.... Salah crowd la.

For a product that is for obscene certain physical intimacy, i must say that their marketing efforts are pretty impressive. Why do i say that?
- They don't carry a brand that's known for this, so there's a certain level of unknown that pulls ppl to want to know what exactly it is.
- Unlike Durex, they are a relatively new brand, they can create an image of
Eroticcreativity to obtain a share of the market, dominated by the Infamous brand. - Interesting packaging, striving to impact the market, against the Biggest shareholder and a few bigger ones, with uninteresting bus-stop ads that's quite straight forward, and yet dull (Yes, i mean the one with 2 condoms wrapping up both ends of the banana (poor fruit) - sorry i don't remember the brand)
- Succeed in getting people to take a look at the interesting and colorful ad, and not knowing that they are for condoms, until they take a closer look, which most people do. They have to read the whole ad to know what it is.

Flashback.... delay
Ok, i've not been blogging much.
Actually i've tried to do up an entry on the flashback of 2007.
And.... it seems so bored. So i've decided to save it for another time.
It's been a tiring 2 weeks, despite it being a holiday ok. Busy with all the festivities activities such as... eating, shopping, walking around, staying up late with Wii-ing and mahjong.
Very busy one ok!! Haha!!
