The time where i wished i was asleep, esp when i was just getting out being feverish the night before... having a heavy day of SOT (which is the only enjoyable thing of the day), followed by a day of work (having been accused of calling another person a courier gal *sigh), and the 环岛追追追 from the middle-of-everywhere road of Singapore back to good ole Jurong West, where the tech-run ran for tomorrow's event.
In as much as i wanna be focused on serving at the tech-run and wanna be in my bestest form to serve tomorrow at Service and the DFYL event, i can't help but be very... eh hem VERY THE CONCERNED about my impending assignment submission next Tuesday. That which is the very siong, sleep-burglaring, mind-boogling 10 sermon outlines!!!
And it's Saturday tomorrow! Argh.... and i'm kinda half-prepared to ton through the night seriously to try to finish at least 2 sermons.
Oh, last week i had one of the toughest IMHO books to complete, that is the 'How to prepare Bible Messages'. I literally crapped through the assignment, but i guess i wrote pretty impressively (haha..) with some smart-aleck kinda ideas. But i never knew that book can be this helpful for my sermons preparations.
I only started my first sermon at 1am, and i've finished my first outline... By the grace of God!
There! That's my first sermon of Faith! But beyond having that book, when u prepare a sermon outline, u MUST pray and ask God for a word.
And it's quite amazingly that God showed me a character in the bible, and i wrote the sermon with a perspective that i won't be able to think of with only my mind! And i felt so bless just writing out the sermon! Seriously i can't want to exposite it and preach it!!
And expositing it take eons. And i don't have all the time in the world to do that right now!
As to why i'm blogging right now.. i need a break to rewind for a bit before i pray for another word for my next topic.
Never despise obiang-looking book covers. They may be your bestest friend when u need them. This book is one of them!! Woots!
