Farewell lunch with ex-colleagues

This is the continuation of the entry that i made last week. Somewhere inside the entry, i wrote about the farewell lunch. We took some pictures.

On my last day with the company (19th Aug), Laks brought us out to lunch.

There wasn't exactly much planning on what to go.... We are all free and easy. So, we jalan-jalaned all the way to Iluma, which is like 10 mins from office. I must say that from my first, unimpressed visit to Iluma, i must say that it's becoming a fine foodie place to go to. Esp if you go to the 3rd storey. (But generally, the place is still as bare as ever).

We were just randomly walking around and thinking what to eat, and we just stepped into
Manhatten Fish Market. If u haven't been there, you should think of trying out the food. There was a time where i was totally inclined to think that they are just so similar from Fish & Co. I still think so to this day, except when they took the gas canister and started blowing flames onto raw seafood in a pan, right in front of you. (So you will taste not just fresh seafood, but also have the chance to watch how raw food becomes roasted with a gas canister?)

There's definitely a difference: One is local born-and bred, and the other one is from Manhattan. Ok, enough of my nonsense. =)

The place was cosy, and for a weekday, i guess the crowds are not in yet, so we had a good seating place. And most of us ordered set meals, which i must say, is not too bad. Fish & Chips are tasty, not too oily (i had liked dunno how many servings of F&C 2-3 days prior to eating at Manhattan), and i really like the garlic mayonnaise.

Then.... Laks spotted a gigantic sunflower. And i was wearing yellow top, and yellow shoes. Talk about the flow! =) So, we took a picture with the gigantic sunflower.

1st row from L-R: Patrick, Laks, Me, Siti (new HR), Su, Joan, Chianne, Siewling
2nd row: Gigantic Sunflower (sure got a lot of face eh.. hehe)

Well, i hasn't exactly got the chance to say thanks to all of them for having lunch with me. But here goes:

Well everyone, if u ever read this, thanks for having lunch with me on my last day. It's been a wonderful 2 years and 10 months (i'm quite anal about exactness where numbers are concerned) in the company, esp those who have been around much longer than i've been. Though it's kinda sad that i hasn't exactly got to know you all better, but i'm really glad to be colleagues with all of you, who have, directly or not, have shaped me to be a better person.

May the Lord bless you all. =)

Keep in touch!
