I have been wanting to change my phone for the longest time.
Within 3 weeks of getting my Samsung phone, i literally have this statement ringing in my brain whenever a) the screen stops being sensitive, b) the phone just did a Will-hung c) I have frustration with typing out smses on the blardy screen pad, d) all other problems associated with a touch-screen phone.
For the longest time, i’ve set my heart on a BB Bold.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
It’s 3.5G, can? | Seriously, does 3.5G really make that much of a difference? |
It has a wide screen, good enough for surfing | Do u need to surf that much using your BBB? |
It’s expensive, because it has wonderful features | Do you really need these features? |
I’ve also considered the BB Javelin.
Alas, the BB Javelin has disappeared from the shores of Singapore. At least this is what i thought it to be. It’s not as big and business-like as Bold, yet it has really good features.
Just last week (or was it a few weeks back), a new BB model surfaced. And it’s called the BB Gemini.
Hmmm for starters, it has been touted to be the entry-level BB. It has the basic features of a typical blackberry, has WIFI, GPS….. Camera, but no flash?!
Not very apt for surfing because of the tiny screen.
But it’s rather comfy on the purse-strings.
Hmmm…
I’m kinda tempted to get the Gemini, but i need to do a bit more research on this phone. At the minimum, i need to know how it feels, how big it is and stuff like that. And with my (ever-)growing dissatisfaction with the Samsung phone, i’m inevitably seeing myself gearing towards this phone, cos i will most probably (I sure HOPE SO) have the budget to get it next month. Even though i’m like 4 months away from renewing my contract to walk-on-Sunshine.
But, if i really get the BB Gemini, i’ll probably buy a digi-cam (not too expensive though), to replace the short-fall by the NO-FLASH camera. And i guess it’s also time that i get a digi-cam.
Watch this space to find out what will be my eventual decision.
