My weekend in KL : 19-21 March 2010

Usually on such an ungodly hour of the night, i should be in bed, trying to replenish my sleep. But here i am, writing my blog entry, and at the same time, trying to add more songs into my ipod while it charges. And i guess i’m still high at this hour was due to drinking my fav Starbucks coffee with my going-to-be-invalid Starbucks passport.

I was away in KL last weekend for my first overseas wedding that i’ve attended in my whole life. =)

Yes, this couple is very creative. This is the rarely seen chocolate that was given out at the wedding dinner. We have seen cakes with our faces on it. But this feature on chocolate is the first that i’ve seen, and every part of it is edible. And btw, i hasn’t ate mine yet. But i shall, soon. =)

By using chocolates, it signifies a sweet time ahead for them. And like what Forest Gump says…. Life is like a box of chocolates. You won’t know what surprises you will get. =)

Besides the much travelling on the cab and getting lost somewhere in Kepong and (yikes) missed the Holy Matrimony of the couple, we also got to do other stuff such as massages (at RM50 for shoulders and legs, which is seriously a good deal), and some shopping.

In the 3 days we were there in KL, we were at the City (near to KLCC), like Bukit Bintang (we stayed nearby at Jalan Alor), The Curve (near to Kepong), and Sunway Pyramid (we attended Sunday service at CHC KL). Not bad huh to travel this much in a span of 3 days, where the 2nd day was focused on attending the wedding.

What i bought, in Summary:
1) One RM25 top, which is a great steal! Should have got more!!!
2) One Clinique face powder that cost RM95 (it will cost close to SGD40, I didn’t get at the Singapore DFS which cost $44)
3) Three months worth of Ciba Vision Contact lenses for RM75 (which boils down to SGD9+ per pair. And that’s a good deal)
4) One ‘LV’ bag that cost RM50
5) One ‘Coach’ keychain that cost RM10 at the flea market at the Curve.
6) Four pairs of ear-rings at Sunway that cost RM10 (the price is slightly more attractive than Bugis street)
7) One pair of flip-flops at RM20.

All in all, it was a good get-away, away from Singapore. And even though it was really tiring to travel up and down through KL, but it was amazingly refreshing for my soul.

We need to get-away at times, just to step back and relax for a bit. As they say:

休息,是让我们走更长,更远的路

I am looking forward to my next weekend getaway! =)
