Visit to the NLB on V-day

14 Feb 2012 -  Valentine’s Day.

And it’s pretty obvious that i don’t have a valentine to dine with and to hang out. So, it’s Friendship day for me, with my buddy Michelle.

The bad thing about this Tuesday:
1) Everywhere is just grossly overcrowded!
And i mean even the unusually empty places are just overbooked and overcrowded with couples and groups (like us) that did not do any booking.

2) Couples are just PDA-ing everywhere!
Well, u can’t blame it, since it’s Valentine’s day. Makes all the singles look awkward even with a few couples just holding hands and walking along the street. LOL… but seriously. Nothing is wrong with a group of single ladies hanging out on V day.

3) Because it’s a Tuesday!
And Tuesdays are supposed to be mundanely quiet. Except for the fact that it’s V day. Hahaha.

The consolation is that we managed to find dinner without having to wait long, NOT at a fast food restaurant. And we got to visit the National Library for the Stories behind Singapore’s streets exhibition.

Love this pink color signboard!!!

(Click on picture for link to more information on the Stories behind Singapore’s streets exhibition)

I was telling Mich that this signboard is so nice, with the China-inspired borders and in pink. And i presume that it’s no longer in use, which i was told they are.

And i managed to find them, at the Bus Stop opposite Fairfield Methodist Church at Tanjong Pagar Road. Same pattern, i’m sure they are from the same factory. =)

See, i’m doing good. 5 days gap from the previous entry. =)

*****
There’s a lot of news this week, about Whitney and Feng Feifei…… Opposition’s WP got sacked etc.

Yes, they are note-worthy news.

But one piece of news that excites me the most and yet gonna burn a hole in my pocket is about the iPAD 3!

Hanging on till
7 Mar 2012 before i set my eyes, money, and gadget-gal to outburst within me. Can’t wait for March to come by and let the technology of Apple serenade me with their latest offering.

** i am still very in love with my Blackberry Bold (except when it throws hissy fits and the MiCoach app just died on me when i ran in the evenings), and have no intentions to switch to an iPhone. However, i think my Toshiba should step down soon.
