My visit to the dentist in 6 years.....

Sorry fellas, i have to delay my promised post, because something happened to me last night, and i just have to get it off my chest.... Just say that it's an unfortunate incident. And i guess posting it here will make it to be a pai-seh incident among the Earthlings, but i'm not ashamed of it, i can say. I pua-to, publicly, in the ladies toilet.
Anyway, i slipped and fell towards the toilet and conveniently fell face down. And, my front teeth got chipped off!!! And because the chipped edge cut my lips, it bled profusely.

The 'twins' were chipped unevenly! But thank God that the front teeth didn't sustain too much damage such as everything came off, or my nose got flattened that kind of thing. Because it could have been worse.

No one really notice my teeth, but i felt a difference, like something's just missing from there. And it's weird, and i can't tahan it!!!! Anyway, first thing in the morning i visited my trusty dentist, and got it fixed.

The graphic below may be quite gross, but the difference is quite obvious. Anyway this is the 'after treatment' picture. I couldn't bear to take the 'before treatment' and, YES I MIND IT VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BADLY!!! When i left chijmes, i can't wait to go to the dentist and get it fixed immediately!! But it was like close to 11pm, and the dentist was closed.

Anyway, u look a bit closely and u can see the chipped part and the fixed part, as the fixed up part has a darker shade. And my lip (showed on the left side of picture) was swollen.

Without the filling, i think i won't even dared to step out of the house - ever! And my damages for this:

Initially i wanted to fix up my 'twins' at the dental clinic near to the market, and my mom suggested that i go to Ginza Dental and Surgery at Ginza Plaza. I mean, like many of you friends out there, we don't have any good impression of dentists, esp those that we have from primary school. They will scold non-stop and then they will smack your mouth, and make sure that you will be in much pain than it should be. (Last sentence is what i experienced). Anyway, my last visit before today was.... 2001, also to this dentist.

Mummy says that the lady dentist was very nice, and she got her crowning done there; my bro also got his seriously chipped teeth fixed by her some time back, and it's really very very nice.

It's been quite a long time back, that i went to her, and think the experience wasn't bad, but what experiences you have as a child SHAPES your thinking towards something. See, the nurse in primary school was really impactful. Hope MOE do something about fierce dentists, so that our primary school children will not fear seeing the dentist. Come on lah, i'm sure many adults today HATE going to the dentist, because of their bad experience, and some like me, won't step into a dental clinic until something happens!

Anyway, i told her that i fell and got the 'twins' chipped. i was expecting her to scold me and that she will make it painful for me (see, childhood BAD experiences!), but she was nice and yah, made me feel better. She said that

sometimes accidents do happen, so that's why they are called accidents, right? (smile)

Come to think of it, isn't the same thing!!!!? Hahah.. Anyway, she's good, and i think in like 30 mins, my fillings were done, and it's as good as new. And the thing is, it wasn't that bad as i thought. There will be discomfort because of the procedure, but it's manageable. I'm going back next month to clean out my teeth. And it's quite affordable, though it's in the 3-digit category.

So, if you stay at West Coast area, and need a dentist, you can visit them at their new premises from 1st Febuary (Because Ginza Plaza is going to be demolished and rebuild for other commercial purpose) at:

Blk 612, Clementi West St 1 #01-298, Singapore 120612

Dunno how to go? Check the street directory for phone number to dial for appointment.
