Super duper looooong entry

Ok, Guess first thing to say on my list is that...

I am real relieved that the review's over. It did bring forth quite a bit of apprehension though. Was really quite tensed when ETA had the review with me. But seriously, i truly wrote down what i really felt. And well, it was ok. There was lotsa feedback, mainly not so good ones. Just like a student getting 20 points for his O levels. U know, that kind of feeling.

Anyway, yah, got confirmed now. Initially i was really glad to hear what i need to change. And i really set in my heart to really do reading up to improve; i'll save that for later. Anyway, i was telling lao shi about it. And he said certain things that really made me think very hard. . Hmmm never take your job for granted. I can't bring myself to think that i have reached there; i still have a looong way. Confirmation doesn't necessary mean job security, not in any one fine day.

This is a path that i've chosen to take, though lao shi said that it's going to be a very tough path, esp for my personality. But it is ok. I am going to prove to EVERYONE that i can do it. I know that i have to work very hard for it. I know i'm quite jian gu tou, but that's me. I REFUSE to admit defeat. Either it defeats me or I overcome it!

What ETA said that i need to improve on, which i agree and commit to achieve:

- To be able to prioritize what i need to do (There's just too many ppl out there who can't wait and their things are like so NOT URGENT, that i will tell them to WAIT!!!)

- To be able to keep my tasklist (well.... coming up, though it's not easy)

- To learn to communicate (Well, that is to say, be thick-skin when i need to and thin-skin when i need to be diao and taught---> i added that myself haha)

- To be more assertive (I do have a mind of my own, need to be confident in what i am doing).

-To be effective. To not just do it, but must have results. That's effectiveness.

-Improving my general skill set (time planning, prioritizing)

The not-so-shocking yet-shocking revelation: When ETA was like 90% done with my review, he just smiled and said :

"I read ur blog"

And well..... what can i say. (-_-)'''

"Oh.... hmmm... ok"

But, that does not limit me to continue to write freely though he may pop by at times, because there is still freedom of speech. Guess, what he meant was this : that i should make my social face-to-face communication to be as freely as my virtual communication.

My poor toe.. nail

Few entries back, i said that i had a toe injury. Anyway, the WHOLE nail is coming off.... Argh!!! I can deal with the pus flowing out, and the discomfort for the few days, but the though of the whole nail gone from the socket of the toe, it's totally gross!! That's why my toe is always covered. Don't want ppl to lose their appetites if they see it.

After injury. I must tell u first, it can be quite gross. So cannot stomach, then better stop reading from here

I didn't know how bad it was until, i removed the nail polish. Eeeeek!!! It's all yellow. And where the flesh stuck, there was empty air. Yah, can drop anytime i think. *shudders* No aesthetically nice pedicured nails for now. :((

There's a house of gold in every book
To interpret this title properly, u don't have A1 in O levels Chinese to be able to know what i'm saying. Yup. Reading 5 work related books this year is my goal for this year. And since there's a really humongous library just 10 mins from Office, couldn't resist it. And i seriously need to read up a bit on time management. It's been a time where i remembered myself as a student studying. Then i went to library often, to read up reference books.

Since i need practical time management skills, i searched, and borrowed this.

Well, this book has been really practical. And i'm only like 75% done with chapter 1. Argh! 12 Chapters in 21 days. Possible bo? May this book really empower me in the area of my work lah. I chose this book because it's a time management specific book. And, its wordings are not like too squeezed together. It will be a comfy read, but i'm jotting down specific points into my computer, that's why i take like 1 hour and it's still not enough for one chapter. Well, shall continue with it tomorrow.

I might..... do a book review on this. But it's a high-risk that i'll really limit the bandwidth that blogger is providing, because 1 chapter is already like eons of points. 12 chapters, there'll be even more. I must be crazy to suggest reviewing the whole book. But probably i'll share points that i value. That will be more practical as i see it. :)
