New [Purple] Hair

Finally! After [let’s see…… ] 2 years of having this boring hairstyle and….. 10 years of between brown, not copper red, and brown many many times, I’ve decided to change my haircolor, once and for all!

It’s been like at least 1 decade since I last color/highlighted my hair at a Salon. U know ah, doing this at a salon as compared to doing it DIY has so much difference. The first time I did was when I was 18, and the color wasn’t like obvious or anything, which eventually became like dried hay.

From then, mum’s my hairdresser who DIY’s for me. What I’ll do is just to go to either Guardian, or Watson’s or whatever shop, choose whatever color that I want and then buy it, and do it. And 100% of the time, the color never appears as what it was. And usually by a week of washing, the color starts wearing off.

Yesterday, mum was talking about me going to get a new haircut, which she went in January. And to my surprise, it’s quite a good rate to wash, cut, dye and highlight. So I decided that I’m tired of my boring hair-style, and also to reward myself for a bit, to ‘pat myself on the back’ for running the good race to finish the building fund.

I deliberated on the color. Brown’s awful to me now, I mean, my hair’s already brown, so why dye and highlight brown again. Makes no sense at all…… Since I saw purple, I decided to go for it. Besides, it my favorite color!!

I will have to dye my hair because my current hair is of a brown base. So I dyed the base a light purple, because for my hair, it will end up dark purple, which is fine with me. Then the hairdresser bleached some streaks and then added the light purple for the highlight. Then, as an incentive, she added some special chilli red streaks on my highlights. And, Tada!! This is my result.



* Argh, I tell u, my face can see all the freckles and everything, because I took it only like 1 hour ago, and being at home, I didn’t put on any make up. Everything up to now, esp pictures of myself is WYSIWYG, because until now I dunno how to use photo-shop. So whether if it’s nice or not, it’s au natural, ok!

My initial response was : WHA!! SO purple?! But… I LIKE!!! The not-so-convenient part is that because it’s of a reddish base, the color will ‘drip’ onto white color clothings. So No white color clothes for this season….. As for swimming in my purple head, will pollute the whole pool, I guess it’s time for me to buy my swimming cap.

I guess with a new hairstyle, new hair color, I want to see breakthrough in other areas of my life, such as spiritual [need to gear up again], physical [must be more diligent to lose weight], Financially [need to save more money, through prudent spending], Relationship [I think it’s time for me, to work hard, like what Diana says :p, so, I will gambatte], Work [to do more things, to be the best that I can be]. I will work hard!!
