My last entry was about the weather, and the fear in my heart on kena-ing dengue. Anyway, i didn't get lah.. Thank God for protection :) Besides, that i was just sharing out of my thoughts. U know lah, when i blog, my thoughts just run like that, and yah... talking about change of titles, though job-scope remained.
I think i blogged about it on Wednesday night. Yah... then during lunch time, i was lunching in as usual, and Boss was hard at work in the office (as usual). So i was like eating and then doing something (reading the Newpaper online.)
It was about 2pm, i was starting to do my stuff that i've targetted to do at 2. So Boss was like doing something, then he beckoned me to the room.
First reaction: (-_-)?
Boss was like asking me to take a seat, and was telling me that he was thinking about something. So i was like... er?
He was saying that he realized that what my job scope is currently doing is close to a PA (Personal Assistant). And he just wanted my thoughts on this. It is July already, so he wanted to plan out my career path for me in e9 for next year too.
Wow! I ever thought about this question before, you know? I have also told him that i feel that my job scope is 30% HR, 70% Admin. And there were times in the period of Apr-May that i thought about my role, like.... it's not exactly HR, but it's quite Admin. Not that i don't like it... in fact, i like it!
Maybe appearance wise, i'm not sales person or even PA material. I know i'm not la. But i guess in terms of characteristic, i'm quite in the center (typical of phlegmatics), but if i want to be very organized, I'll go all out for it and i can get very irritated if it's not organized. (typical of virgo, thought i believe nutz about it).
Anyway, to cut the story short, i'm open to the idea, in fact, thinking forward, if my title is changed to PA next year after my year-end review, i think nothing much really changes. I'm still doing what i'm doing. Like booking travels, arranging meet-ups etc... i'm doing it. :)
Just that there's a HR element to the PA part. I mean, previously in the recruitment agency, i have clients who are PA and yet do the recruitment. So it's similar, just the title changes :)
Thinking about it, it's quite exciting... Maybe there will be increasing things that i need to do? I do not know, but it's a nice goal to work towards till end of the year. :)
It's been 7 days since 7% GST has been at work. Actually, nothing much changes. Just that maybe things get slightly expensive? But everyone live life the same. Anyway, thanks to the Government for $200 for GST Relief. And 07/07/07 is the Live Earth concert, besides being a good day to marry (Congrats Kanfong!!), such dates only happen once a hundred years. So enjoy and do ur best to save the earth.... Meaning? Down with unauthorized forest fires!!! No haze!!! Begone! See! My blog has turned green for today too!! :)

Just my 2 cents worth:
1) It depends on what you would like to achieve in your career, and specifically, whether it's under HR or Admin or PA.
2) Once shared that you would like to focus on being a HR person. And if this is so, should still retain the title of HR instead.
