Dinner at Delifrance Bistro

When i was studying for my degree, i always liked to eat at Delifrance. Nothing except the sandwich filled with the egg mayo topping. And i'll always like to eat at the Harbourfront, since school was a short distance from there. And i'll always loved eating the sandwich set meal which costed... $7.90, i think. And that comes with a soup and a drink.

Then for some reason, Delifrance
started getting itself Bistro-lised, and things became expensive. And the exterior looked more atas than before. And for some reason, i got the impression that it has shot up my budget, and i stopped going.

I looked to fulfil my need for egg mayo sandwich elsewhere, which i hasn't found, until Subway came along, and i totally forgot about my lost love for Delifrance sandwich, which i still reminscence about the bread....what are their names again??

Anyway, on Thursday, i stayed back in Church to surf the net, and try to get some stuff done, and wanna eat some dinner before my tuition with my P4 Kiddo. My initial plan was really to eat Subway, which i was literally feeling the egg mayo within the crispy, cheese-laden Parmesan Oregano bread with lettuce, Jelapano (chopped, large green chilli), onion, capsicum, tomato with Chipotale southwest /Sweet Onion sauce, dripping in my mouth.

But when i saw the queue at Subway, my heart dropped.

And, i wanted to go elsewhere... and i was just encircling the whole foodie area at JP1 on the first level, before i notice the Delifrance Bistro.

"No no no... too atas" i thought to myself

I ding-donged with where to eat before i finally settled into Delifrance.

After that many years, i've never forgotten how the bread smelt like. And nope, i didn't eat the sandwich meal. There's no such meal for it in the first place, where dinner is concerned!

And to save cost, and in view of the time constraint, i took a $11.90 meal.

This is the Seafood.... Aglio Olio?

The meal for $11.90 is quite 划算, since it comes with a drink, free flow of bread with SCS butter (nice!!), soup of the day, maincourse, and a dessert.

Whatever that u associate with seafood, there u have it. But.... the fish is a bit too hard, and think it could be the the wrong kind of fish to use lah. But the prawns are fresh, which is a good. Spagetti is a bit too soft (case of putting it in too long?). Mushroom soup is a bit too salty.

This is the dessert. Though i was rather disappointed at what it was, but then, i'm only paying like $11.90 for one meal, i shouldn't expect too much la. Love the raspberry sauce, but the cake is a bit too hard.

Service quality is excellent... but i waited like 5 mins for my change....

*****

Well, i must say, it's quite a pleasant time to eat there, but i think i'll eat there if i have time to burn, and with more choices of food available. I still wanna eat the sandwich meal, but i think it's not available.

As for that set meal, i probably won't wanna eat it again. (that explains why this entry is not tagged as a 'Recommendation')

Ps: I notice that i don't blog as much, as i'm busy with school (which is fulfilling and life-changing), but when i blog, i've been writing about recommending stuff. No no no, this blog won't go that direction, that's for certain.

I'm also blogging at my
Multiply site too. So if u find this blog that is close to becoming stale, do visit there to find my writings. Both blogs are of different genre, so there won't be repetitions of entries. So it's fresh on both sides. =)
