4 days to my 2nd 10km run =)

Seriously, i dunno if i’m really THAT ready for my run.

Besides running often, like at least once a week, i think i’m lacking in the various departments:

a) Waking up early
The run will be in 2 waves, at 7.25am and 7.35am. The gate closes at 7.40am.

This translates to me waking up at 5.00am… or 5.30am. And leaving the house at 6am, before grabbing a quick milo or something. Am gonna take a cab from my house to reach Raffles Avenue. Not forgetting that i need to change, deposit my bags, ready myself physically with some warm-ups (more on that later) 

I wanna go for the first wave. When i start early, i can finish early.

b) Warming up
I’ve learn in the previous run that i need to really do warm up exercises. I’ve always practised running this year, but i realize that my momentum comes after the 3rd Kilometre, which will not be helpful for the run. So i need to do some warm ups so that when the run starts, i know that the momentum has come and i’ll be able to be in my best form.

So i’ve been watching some Youtube videos on warm ups and running. So, i do hope that the stuff that i’m watching will benefit my run.

I’ve just came back from a running session at the gym. Which i must say, is quite a conditioning run for me. I would prefer to run at the stadium, but the weather be damned, The haze has been blocking everyone’s throats and nostrils. I do hope the haze starts clearing up (though i’ve heard over the news that it will go on for another 2 days :(( ).

For the next few days, i’m gonna stock up on carbos, and also to sleep well.

I’m ready to run my 10km on 24.10.2010! =)
